Make room for a little wonder
A shared story can begin with a simple question: what do you notice? Give children time to look, imagine and explain in their own words.
Try pairing a short Bible story with a coloring activity. Read together, choose a favorite moment, then talk while you color. There is no need to rush toward a finished page.
Keep the conversation open: What surprised you? How might the characters have felt? What would you like to discover next?
